Dad's B-day, Easter and Owen's B-day

There has been so much going on we haven't had time to post any blogs lately, so we're going to make up for it with this post. Here are some pictures of Dad's birthday, Easter and Owen's Birthday and other happenings over the past three months:

Owen clowned around a lot with his cousin Ryan.

For his birthday, Mom took Dad to a Jazz game and hey sat really close-the closest either of them had ever sat in a game. They were even on TV for just a few seconds...

Owen helped Dad blow out the candles on his cake...

Then it was Easter and we decorated Easter Eggs!

Easter morning Owen hunted around the house to see what the Easter bunny had left for him!

Then we were off to Grampa and Grandma Higham's house for another Easter Egg hunt! We also went to Grampa and Grandma Nash's house, too!

Owen loved shooting bubbles with his new Bubble Gun!

Then it was time for birthday boy Owen! We had one party with just Mommy, Daddy and Owen on his actually birthday on Wednesday 4/27. Then on the following Sunday everyone came up for a big birthday bash!

Owen loved his little Star Wars cake and kept trying to sneak some frosting!

Even though it has been a busy few months, Owen still found time to ham it up for the camera, especially when he is playing with his toys...

He even puts his toys to bed. Here he was putting Woody and Buzz to bed and reading them a bedtime story!

What's Been Happening

We have had a great couple of weeks. Me and Owen went to a Jazz game we were up kind of high but it was still a good time. He loves basketball and the Jazz. Then it was my baby sisters 21st Birthday. Wow how my baby sister turning 21 makes me feel old. Owen had a great time helping her blow out the candles. Then it was off to the Super Bowl party at my parents. We had a chili cook off and a great time. It was okay that neither me or Chism's teams were in the Super Bowl it was still a good game and a good time.

Owen is really starting to be a big boy these days. He is potty trained for the most part. He has lots of favorite things. He loves anything Toy Story, any of the movies over and over and any of the characters, the new building and his new office at our work, his racetracks, reading the same books over and over, his mom and dad even though he doesn't always like to admit that. He is a great little boy and never stops amazing me how smart he is. Well that is a little summary of what the family has been doing the last couple of weeks. I guess my time is up I have just been told I should be reading a book now!

Christmas 2010

Christmas finally arrived and Santa sure was good to Owen. On Christmas Eve we had our traditional home-made clam chowder with crab legs (Owen wouldn't eat any crab legs, he kept saying that they were "too scary"). We watched "Mickey's Christmas Carol" and Daddy read "T'was the Night Before Christmas." We told Owen that Santa and Rudolph were on the roof bringing his presents. This must have made an impression because every at bed time for the next week Owen kept telling us that he could hear Santa and Rudolph on the roof.

On Christmas morning, Owen was excited to see his presents. He could hardly stand it. We opened up his presents and then got dressed to go to Grampa and Grandma Higham's house for Christmas breakfast.

Somehow we managed to get the kids to sit down and eat. And then it was time to open presents!

We then went to Grampa and Grandma Nash's house where we opened even more presents and played with all of the cousins. We had a lot of fun!

Owen finally got to sit with Woody and Buzz and watch his Toy Story movies.

When all was finally said and done, all Owen wanted to do was sit in Daddy's chair and read a book.

Fall Fun and a Snowy Thanksgiving

Before the snow fell, Owen and Daddy would go outside and play football every day.
They also raked the leaves. Mommy came outside to help.

Then it was Thanksgiving and we all went to Grandma and Grampa Nash's house for Thanksgiving. Owen and Hunter had their own little table set up.

Owen played on Grandma's piano, danced with Hunter and had a great old time. He played with the kitty, the dog named Dave, watched Toy Story 3, colored on the coloring books and just had a great old time.

He also wanted his picture taken with his Batman toy.

Rainy Halloween

We had a great Halloween. We spent most of it in Tooele. Owen had a great time playing around with his cousins. He was like a little shadow with his cousin Hunter. It was a little wet tricker treating but all in all it was a good day with family! Here are just a few pics of the good times.

Potty Time

We have been encouraging Owen for the past 5 months to go potty. He FINALLY had success on Sunday. It has been a long road but he did it. I will spare details. I think mom and dad were way more excited than Owen was. It is time to say goodbye to baby Owen and hello big boy Owen. That was hard for me to say.
