Since Christmas...

It's been a while since our last blog. With school starting back up and work just getting crazy, we've hardly had any time to breathe. Now that Spring Break had started there is now some time to post some of the news of the last few months:

New Years 2009

We had a lot of fun on New Years Eve. Grampa and Grandma Higham came up with Aunt Collette and cousin Ryan and we played Nintendo Wii the whole night and then watched the new "Star Trek" movie. Owen didn't want to go to bed, so we let him stay up until 9:00 that night so he didn't miss all of the action.

Super Bowl 2010

We then partied it up for the Super Bowl. It wasn't the usual big bash we have every year. This year it was just Mommy, Dad and Owen. Dad made some ribs, Mommy made salmon dip, and Owen made mischief. A good time was had by all.

We also shoveled a lot of snow. Owen got to go out and help Dad a few times. Here is putting on Dad's gloves, ready to go out and get to work!

Valentine's Day 2010

Mommy and Dad had a special night planned for Valentine's Day. They were going to go to Wendover and Owen was going to spend the weekend with Grampa and Grandma Nash. Unfortunately, Mommy got really sick so they couldn't go. Instead, Dad took Owen down to Tooele so Mommy could have some peace and quiet.

So Owen helped Grampa make some Valentine's Day cookies. He has having a lot of fun, until he got sick too and threw up all over Dad about three times. It must have been some kind of bug he needed to get out of system, just a few hours later he was feeling fine and back to his old self laughing and playing with cousins Hunter and Olivia.

St. Patrick's Day Parade 2010

So on March 13th, Salt Lake City had its annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. We all went to the view the festivities despite the bad weather. Everyone was there, Aunt Chelsea, Grampa and Grandma Nash, Grampa and Grandma Higham, Aunt Collette, Aunt Maggie and cousins Ryan and Layla. We got soaked, but we had a lot of fun.

Afterwards we went and ate at Upchuck-A-Rama, dried off and warmed up. We spent some time over at Grampa and Grandma Higham's house where Owen played with his cousins. Then it was time to go home. When we got home, Dad turned on the TV and Star Wars was on (somehow Dad has a knack of being able to find any kind of Star Wars show on TV. If it is on some channel somewhere, he will find it). Owen saw some of his favorite characters. He would call out to them when they came on the screen. He yelled out "Why-Da" which means "Yoda" and then he saw "Bobba" which means "Boba Fett." He growled when his favorite character Chewbacca came on. He also has become quite adept at making the laser gun noises when they shoot. He did this as well while watching the show.

After all of that excitement he just laid down on Mommy and Dad's bed and read of his hundreds of books:
