Christmas Break

We had a busy but fun Christmas this year. It was so nice to be closer to everyone, this was one of the reasons we really wanted to move; we just wanted to be closer so we could enjoy Christmas.

Santa was good to Owen this year. He got his "big Millenium Falcon" and tons of Adventure People. He also got the movie Cars 2 which he has watched over and over again. He got lots of new clothes--including his favorite Batman pajamas, which he would wear all the time if Mommy and Daddy allowed it.

We had a great Christmas break. Chism really enjoys being a teacher, especially at Christmas as he got over two weeks off! Carrie had one or two days off as well, so we spent some good family time together. We went to the zoo a few days after Christmas, to take advantage of the free admission. Owen thoroughly enjoyed himself, but he does that wherever we go.

We spent New Year's Eve at Grampa and Grandma Higham's house. Of the three grandchildren, Owen was the only one to make to midnight without throwing a fit or falling asleep at some point.
After that, Mommy and Daddy took advantage of some more great deals and got lower bowl seats for $26.00 for the Jazz game. They sat on row 16, and if looked fast enough, they were on TV for a split second.
Owen didn't walk away empty handed. He spent the evening with Grampa and Grandma Nash. Mommy and Daddy were able to catch a minature Jazz basketball that was thrown to the crowd. And Owen got a Jazz t-shirt of his favorite player: Paul Milsap, though Owen insists that his name isn't "Paul" but "Tall" Milsap.

All in all we had a great Christmas and New Years! Carrie took plenty of pictures of the festivities with her new camera:
